It's Almost Time!

Yay! It's the last day of work before the Thanksgiving Holiday!
There was no traffic on the way into work today, there was a fire drill (which always makes me feel like I am in elementary school) and I had a yummy breakfast.
SCORE!!!

Last night, I met up with my friend Sami and we braved the down pour and made our way to the new Mexican restaurant that just opened up called Chepe's. It was delicious! Yes, I feel off the bandwagon and indulged last night in some NONE detoxing food :( It was totally worth it though!

Chepe's serves complimentary 100% corn chips with salsa ::: I did a little Charlie Brown dance in my chair as I typed that::: and of course we ordered the cheese dip with extra jalapenos!

I opted for the flautas, which have become one of the favorite Mexican dishes recently. They were served with delicious Mexican beans with melted cheese, rice, lettuce, tomatoes and sour cream. NOM!

I was going to order a margarita with my dinner but the table next to ours had ordered some and they were HUGE! So I decided against that idea especially since I was driving.

I was really happy that Sami and I got to hang out and have some girlie time. She is a great girl and I am happy that we have become friends since I have moved to Atlanta.

After arriving back home from a delicious dinner I was exhausted. I had been feeling weird all day so I decided that 9:00pm was an acceptable time to change into some comfy sleepy time clothes and get comfortable in bed while watching some television.
As I scoured through the options on my cable box I found this little gem on the SyFy station...Grimm. I watched the first 2 episodes before drifting off to sleep somewhere in the beginning of the 3rd. I seem to always do that. I don't like that I do it; especially, when I am watching a movie with Philip I will always doze off in the middle somewhere. UGH...pouts!
I used to love the Grimm's fairy tales when I was a little kid and in fact I have a complete collection of their works along with all my other books that are still in PA waiting for me to bring them to Atlanta, which will be happening when I go up to PA for Christmas. If you are into creepy movies, scary movies or like SyFy things you will most likely enjoy this show.

Today, I woke up exhausted and I still feel exhausted :( I can't wait to nap the minute I walk into my apartment. Ahhh!
This morning I started off my day with a clementine, a mug of Glutino gluten-free corn rice flakes with strawberries, which of course I added a teaspoon of peanut butter too and gobbled up <~I'm getting into the Thanksgiving spirit :) I followed that up with a half a cup of black coffee which didn't work to help keep me awake...AT ALL.

The peanut butter was a yummy addition to this cereal.

When lunch time came around I was starving so I dug into the salad I had brought to work with me. It consisted of spinach and kale with a sliced hard boiled egg, sauteed apple chicken sausage, jalapenos, onions, garlic and corn and for dessert I had a sliced granny smith apple.

It hit the spot and helped me for the next few hours of the day. Early in the afternoon we were told we could leave work and officially begin our Thanksgiving Holiday!!
YAY!!
